President Aquino amenable to P40-billion sin tax revenue

VIENTIANE, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Nov. 6 (PNA/via PLDT/Smart) -– President Benigno S. Aquino III said on Monday that he is amenable to the lowering of the revenues to be generated by the Sin Tax measure at P40 billion but would be “happier” if it remained at the proposed P60-billion mark. MALAYBALAY City – The continuing drive on tax awareness is a key factor for exceeding our tax collection target goal for the month of June this year. We are thankful to Bukidnon taxpayers for religiously paying their obligations, thus said revenue district officer Myrna L. Bernardo  after collection breached the target last month by P7,905,722.20 against its goal of P58,050.000.00 with an actual collection of P65,955,722.
